What got you into making music?
My family, they use to have functions and be playing all different kinds of music. Then everyone would showoff their talents. Whether it was dancing, singing, rapping; it was early competition. I fell in love with the beats and started putting my words together.
What has been your best experience musically so far?
The gatherings, I felt they were like my generations woodstock. Open field with multiple stages and all kinds of music. Everytime it got better, more people and more excitement. Another, would be “The International Takeover” by Ryujin. It was a classic compilation with artist from all over the world, an I was selected as one of the artist representing the West Coast.
Tell us about being a rapper in your city?
It’s Great, I compete with some of best from the 805 and the 717. An living on both coast gave me a different vibe with my music. Over years, a lot of artist didn’t work with each other; now I see a lot are building together and the cities are seeing progress.
What are some wild stories you have experienced?
Being on the road, anything goes. We did a show, I forget the towns name(my apologies) but the promoter got the money and didn’t want to pay the artists. The place went krazy, everything got trashed. Also, we was dealing with a artist, paid for the feature and they didn’t do it but took the money. Then we got nominated at the same awards and the vibe was just turnt’d. Come to find out, he had been burning everybody.
What current projects do you have available ?
I just wrapped up, my solo joint called “For Your Soul”. It should be out before this years over. Were in the mist of recording the “DONS” mixtape. With Hov Da Don, Pressure Da Don and myself. Also, I have a joint project coming with Ock Soprano and myself. We working, tryna make it progress!!
What shows have you done recently?
Due to the pandemic, everything was put on hold to further notice. But we definitely, have a lot lined up for this coming year. An hopefully, we get a few in before this years over.
What makes you standout as an artist?
I believe my upbringing, living on both coast gave me my sound. West mixed with the East, an it goes with everything from music to fashion. Also, the cultures were very much influential in my vibes that I create.
What are you up coming big moves to mention?
We got a lot of projects coming from my whole team and different merchandise that represent us. Also, got some features with some great artist and shows in different states. Just turning the level up another notch, every step I take.
