Actor speaks up in his role as the sleazy lawyer from Breaking Bad

Saul Goodman, the sleazy yet efficient Attorney in the TV hit show “Breaking Bad” will back with his own TV show in “Better Call Saul”. Charlotte Observer reported that Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role as Saul in this AMC TV show. Fans of “Breaking Bad” will remember him as the criminal lawyer for Walter White and Jesse Pinkman who defended them by all means possible. It was reported that “Better Call Saul” will be a prequel to the “Breaking Bad”.

The event in “Better Call Saul” is set six years prior to “Breaking Bad” where we will be introduced to James “Jimmy” Morgan McGill. According to Sentinel & Enterprise, Jimmy McGill is just a desperate under-employed Albuquerque Lawyer who will later become the Legendary Saul Goodman of “Breaking Bad”. Viewers will see McGill struggling to find his place in the law profession while trying to make a living as a public defender in the courthouse. He is not yet the shady Attorney who is criminally connected which makes him an wicked yet competent Lawyer for Walter White in “Breaking Bad”.

Variety reported that Bob Odenkirk was excited to reprise his role, saying that he could not have asked for more when he played Saul Goodman in “Breaking Bad”. Odenkirk also said that he was not anxious in stepping into the lead role but he is intimidated by the thought that he will be seen by the world as his character, Saul Goodman. According to the report, Odenkirk said that it was not him who created the character but he is really glad that he get to do the part. Furthermore, Odenkirk is happy with the result of what his character turns out to be. He was even thrilled to see and experience how McGill gets himself in and out of trouble.

“Better Call Saul” will air its two-night premiere episode on February 8 and 9. Fans of “Breaking Bad” will be in for a treat to see Jimmy McGill develop his skills in the legal profession and became the Legendary Saul Goodman.
