James Bay has announced dates as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.
James Bay has experienced a phenomenal year since winning the 2015 Critic’s Choice Brit Award. The acclaimed debut album ‘Chaos And The Calm’ continues to ride high in the charts having been one of the best-selling UK albums of last year featuring the massive platinum-selling single ‘Hold Back The River’ which has had over 71 million YouTube views. Now the success of this formidable singer-songwriter has been acknowledged by the music industry on both sides of the Atlantic with three Grammy Award nominations and four Brit Award nominations including ‘British Breakthrough Act’, ‘British Male Solo Artist’, ‘British Single’ for ‘Hold Back The River’ and ‘Mastercard British Album of The Year’ for ‘Chaos And The Calm’.
Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live’s 15 years history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors. With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.
