Continuing the countdown to their upcoming new album release, global platinum-selling four-piece RUDIMENTAL have now unveiled the title track from upcoming their new album, We The Generation, featuring vocals from newcomer Mahalia.
The visuals were filmed at London’s Notting Hill Carnival last month, capturing one of the world’s most famous and long-running cultural events. We go beyond the glittering surface of the carnival and touch on real life, intergenerational stories. People and families come together in the genuine spirit of community, harnessing its positive power – a message that is at the heart of the band’s music and their new album. The four members of Rudimental ‘ Amir, Kesi, Piers and Leon – make a rare appearance in their own video ‘ check it out here now:
Over the last few months Rudimental have firmly reinstated themselves as the UK band of the summer, leaving their mark with headline performances at Glastonbury, Lovebox and their very own Wild Life Festival in Brighton. They’ve been regularly introducing new music to fans since the album announcement ‘ the first huge track Never Let You Go, followed by the cool and classy house track Rumour Mill, plus the more recently reggae-influenced Love Aint Just A Word featuring Anne-Marie and grime legend Dizzee Rascal, then I Will For Love feat. Will Heard, which comes with a poignant video about the lengths families go to for each other in times of need.
WE THE GENERATION marks a progressive Rudimental, a genre-defying collective that will continue to change the face of dance music not just within the UK music scene but globally. This 14-track album of sound-clashing live instruments, progressive beats and soulful voices is set to be one of the releases of the year. The band have once again struck musical gold: this is what sets Rudimental light years ahead of their contemporaries.
